Death Order Bomb Event Guide

Confirm who has the bomb, make one deliberate proximity transfer, then leave the next carrier and the blast area.

Table of contents

The Bomb Event adds a moving hazard while the normal round continues. When the announcement says that Simon planted a bomb on a player, check whether the bomb is on you, then keep the current command visible.

QUICK ANSWER: If you have the bomb, move close to another player to pass it, confirm that it left you, and create distance before the countdown ends.

Confirm who has the bomb

Do not assume the loudest group has it. Look for the bomb indicator on a character and check your own character before choosing a route.

If you are carrying it:

  1. Find one reachable player rather than the biggest crowd.
  2. Move close enough for the bomb to transfer.
  3. Check that the indicator moves to the other character.
  4. Turn toward a clear stairway or open lane.
  5. Create distance while continuing to obey valid commands.

The transfer is proximity-based. Do not stop to search for a separate throw or inventory action.

Pass once, then verify

Running through several prisoners without checking the indicator can leave you unsure who is carrying the bomb. Make one deliberate pass and look again. If the bomb remains on you, close the gap to a different reachable player before the timer expires.

Avoid passing inside a blocked doorway. Even a successful transfer leaves you beside the next carrier, which is the wrong place to be when the countdown reaches zero.

Create real distance

After a confirmed pass, use the nearest open route. Stairs and level changes can separate you faster than circling the same table, but only use a route that is clear now.

  • Do not follow the new carrier.
  • Do not stop beside a crowd that may receive the next pass.
  • Do not jump into a blind landing without checking the route below.
  • Do not sacrifice a valid Simon Says task just to chase the bomb.

The player holding the bomb when the countdown ends loses a life, and players standing too close can be caught in the blast. Distance protects you even when the final carrier is someone else.

Keep reading Simon's commands

The Bomb Event does not pause the command rule. A location, crouch, jump, or other order can appear while players are passing the bomb. Read the full line before reacting and obey only a valid SIMON SAYS prompt.

If the bomb is not on you, give the carrier space and keep a second exit in view. Crowding the carrier makes both the transfer and the final blast more dangerous.

Common Bomb mistakes

  • Looking for a throw button: the observed transfer happens by moving near another player.
  • Assuming one pass worked: verify that the indicator actually moved.
  • Hiding beside the new carrier: transfer first, then leave the blast area.
  • Running into the largest group: bodies and doorways can block your exit.
  • Ignoring the command bar: the normal Simon Says round is still active.

Use Events and Commands for the command rule, or review How to Win for positioning and route choices.
